The 7 Secrets of How to Believe in Yourself (even if you never thought you could)

Self belief

I wish to share both knowledge and fight.

It all started with the magic of self-belief.

Listen to yourself

Firstly tune in and listen to your own radio station. Get to know yourself again. What makes you tick? What excites you? What frustrates you? What do you love? What are you passionate about?

If you were a radio station what music would you play? Start a journal, write regular extracts. It all starts with you!

Personally I was out of touch for a long time. Getting to know myself has been one hell of an emotional ride and I’m still on the life – long adventure.

Live life and laugh

Experience life, get out, take up hobbies, socialise. Don’t spend too much time looking in-wards as this can be counter-productive. Turn the looking glass onto the world outside and learn to live, love and laugh. Believe that you are capable of leading a happy fulfilling life and most of all that you deserve it.

For so many years I was in my own bubble so it took a lot of effort plunging back in. it’s the only way – sink or swim!

Love and affirmations

Surround yourself with love and positivity. Build on current relationships, spend time with loved ones and protect yourself from destructive, negative relationships. Create affirmations that you can whisper in the morning whilst applying your blush. If you look good, you feel good and if you feel good you look great.

When I was finally ready to open up and accept love again my mum took me under her wing, she helped me heal with love and friendship until I was ready to fly the nest again.

Perseverance and  Patience

Be patient.Romewas not built in a day. Be kind to yourself and give yourself the luxury of time. We all need time to heal and a healed heart and mind will make you the best person you can be. Persevere through the transitional period.

At times it seemed like obstacles were thrown in my path and everything was against me. Be fierce ladies as this is a mere test of character!

Goals and future

Look at where you are and where you want to be. Realise your potential. Go to night school, apply for that job or study for that degree. Believe in yourself and the rest will follow.

I went back to university as a mature student at 29. I graduated with honours last November and haven’t looked back. The focus of studying really helped me get over myself.

Go out and make things happen, make calls and create opportunities. Re-evaluate your career plan and adapt with it as you adapt to life. Make it happen!

Scare yourself a little from time to time and face your fears. Nothing can be worse than the nightmare you lived before now.

Dare to Dream

Now you are ready to take on life, with the first step of believing in yourself taken you can now live your dream.

You deserve the good life so go and live it.

Take care
