Our Vision

Day of Women is a brand new “not for profit” set up to promote happiness, well-being & empowerment for women recovering from dark times.

We offer day and weekend retreat programmes which include inspiring workshops,  life changing coaching, complementary healing therapies, transformational dance, heart opening meditations and emotional support. You’ll leave feeling more confident, more empowered, more on purpose,  more inspired and leading a life you may never have thought possible.

What can you expect from coaching?

Coaching is a tried and testing way of helping women achieve and be more than they may have ever thought possible.

Our coaches become like mentors for you. We help our clients create big visions for themselves,we help them set inspirational and motivational goals. We recognise the true potential in you at the most vital of times and consistently believe in you, enabling you to believe more and more in yourself.

In times of darkness when confidence is low, coaching has proven time and time again how much difference it can make.

What can you expect from meditation?

Meditation is an effective form of stress reduction: more and more widely used in the NHS. We help you with the act of Mindfulness: where the mind is focused on the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past, or worrying about the future. Meditation can be practiced in a number of ways to suit your individual needs.

In times of darkness it can often feel that negative thoughts control and dominate; meditation allows us to take back control. Mental clarity and better concentration follows, leading to greater levels of happiness and wellbeing.

It not only provides much needed escape from stress, anxiety and depression, but is also a highly recommended practice on an ongoing basis.

What can you expect from The Dance of Life (Biodanza)?

Originating in South America and now available in more than 80 countries around the world, The Dance of Life is a powerful body-based  personal development system that promotes both physical and emotional healing and personal transformation.

The process facilitates escape from thoughts of negativity and promotes a move towards positivity, using exercises that are uplifting, energising and relaxing. We draw from dance, movement, T’ai Chi, complementary therapy and moving meditation. There are no steps to learn so it is suitable for all: dancers and non dancers, and all levels of fitness.

At times of stress and struggle, it is so helpful to let go and have fun, feeling free and alive. The Dance of Life offers a chance to gain confidence in our physicality, and this in turn allows us to become more confident overall; letting go of the burdens we may be carrying.

What can you expect from complementary therapy?

Complementary therapy offers an alternative to conventional medicine. Unlike conventional medicine, the holistic approach seeks to treat the person as a whole. Rather than just looking at and treating the symptoms of the current illness, complementary therapy looks at all aspects of a person’s life; lifestyle, diet, occupation and emotions.

A great number of today’s illnesses come about as a result of the stress and tension in the lives we lead. Following illnesses, stress, injury or disease, the body will very often be left in a state of imbalance.

Complementary therapies can help to restore the body’s natural equilibrium and balance; when the body is relaxed and in balance it can cope better.

Complementary therapy can provide the missing step on the journey to health, happiness and empowerment.
