10 Tips For Being Inspired

1) Release your inner child

Remember when you were young and things were new and exciting, time went more slowly and you noticed the things around you much more. Bring some of that back into your life now. Take a minute to listen to the birds singing, watch the sunset and admire the small but beautiful things in life.

 2) Bring yourself into the present

Life moves so quickly nowadays, there are so many things to think about and too many distractions. Slow down the time and bring yourself into the moment. Stop worrying about what you need to get done and take a minute to notice the world around you. Listen to your breathing, clear your mind and really take in life.

3) Embrace change

Don’t fear change it may be the best thing that ever happens to you; instead welcome it with open arms. Look at change in a positive way and think how it may improve things rather than looking at it with fear and uncertainty. If things never changed, you would never experience anything new and life would become pretty dull.

 4) Make mistakes

Don’t play it safe. Making mistakes can lead to new discoveries that you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. It also means you progress much faster than those who worry too much about getting things wrong.

5) Meditation

Try meditation techniques to centre yourself and visualise what you want in life. Meditation can be used as a tool for inspiration, as it gives you the space to explore your thoughts and feelings. If you visualise your dreams and goals, it will help focus your mind and make them a reality.

6) Learn something new

Take up a new hobby or activity like playing a musical instrument, taking a new dance class or going to an arts and crafts workshop. Trying something new can help with your creative energies, helping you to get inspired.

7) Change your environment

If you are lacking inspiration, maybe it’s because your environment isn’t particularly inspiring. If it is your own environment, make improvements – put up pictures of people who inspire you and surround yourself with the things you love. Or go somewhere you find inspiring, like to the sea, an art exhibition or a green park.

8) Listen to your gut feelings

Save time and energy and listen to your gut feelings they are normally right. This can help you make choices in your life, giving you a feeling of empowerment and making you feel more inspired.

9) Positivity

Be positive and positive things will happen. Things you didn’t expect will end up turning out right and your positivity will rub off on those around you. Positivity is a good way of feeling inspired and will make you ready for anything life throws your way.

10) Time for you

Having some much deserved me time does not make you selfish. Remember you are the most important person in your life so look after yourself. You have to love yourself before you can love others. This also gives you the chance to distance yourself from the rest of the world outside and have some time for relaxation, reflection and re-energising.
